IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES AUSCHWITZ- BIRKENAU
The COVID-19 pandemic led to the closure of the museum site located at the former Auschwitz extermination camp during World War II. In order to ensure that the memory of Auschwitz would remain constantly accessible, Diskin, in collaboration with the Israeli high-tech company AppsFlyer, initiated a groundbreaking project with no parallel anywhere in the world: the development of remote-access museum tours.
Drawing on sophisticated use of archival materials and advanced technological systems, Diskin developed a tool that offers an immersive and enriching experience, fundamentally designed to simulate a physical visit to the camp for remote participants. The tours are conducted live by professional guides and are grounded in the on-site visitor experience, while also integrating documentary and informational content delivered through technological means.
The tours are accessible from anywhere in the world, for both groups and individuals. This is a development of universal significance, and a source of Israeli pride.
