TOWER AND STOCKADE MUSEUM GAN HASHLOSHA

The Tower and Stockade site at Gan HaShlosha (the Sachne) in Israel is a full-scale reconstruction of Tel Amal, the first of the Tower and Stockade settlements. The museum established at its base tells the story of the pioneers and of the settlements founded during the period of the 1936–1939 Arab Revolt, under British Mandate rule.

At the site designed by Diskin, visitors move through six stages that trace the settlement process. Specially designed interpretive tools enrich the experience and give visitors the sense that they are actively participating in the establishment of a new settlement.
